Studio Space available at Het Wilde Weten, Rotterdam

As from mid-October 2018 (or as soon after as possible), we (Frank van der Salm & Robert Glas) are inviting an artist or curator to share with us our studio-space in the former chapel at Foundation Het Wilde Weten (Robert Fruinstraat 35, Rotterdam). The Chapel is the most beautiful characteristic space of the building on the first floor, around 90m2 with extremely high ceilings, stained glass windows, good lighting & wooden floor (please see the photos).

Due to our own practice (Video-art, Film & Photography), we are unable to offer the space to painters & sculptors, but…. curators, artists from all other disciplines, or otherwise artists who are planning to use the space in the same manner as we (thinking & writing, drawing, developing, computer work, presentations, studio visits, etc…), are all very welcome to apply.

Foundation Het Wilde Weten is an artist-run initiative, very close to the Heemraadplein in Rotterdam-West with 13 studios, a shared kitchen, a project space and an artist-in-residence program. The foundation is working regularly with the Mondriaan Fund, CBK Rotterdam/Tent, Pictura Prague and many others.

Rent: 220 per month (incl all energy costs and high-speed internet). If you are interested please send us a short text about yourself plus CV per email with the subject ‘The Chapel’ to:

Potential candidates will be invited shortly to discuss the space & divisions and conditions that apply, over coffee with cookies.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Frank van der Salm & Robert Glas
