Babette Kleijn
Een wolk van niet weten
Babette Kleijn uses elements of geometry, architecture, abstraction, and ornament to create her Wandgestalten: wall installations comprising iron elements and painting, as (temporary) configurations of embodied exercises in concentration. Borrowing from patterns of nature, Kleijn’s work involves a desire for balance by casting spells in form and matter.
Kleijn was invited by Het Wilde Weten to use its project space as a test site for public experimentation, sketching on the walls in changing constellations of form: adding, removing, replacing and repainting elements in a process guided by unknowing.
