Tess Martin is an artist with both a fine art and animation background, and these come together in her work. She creates films and installations that emphasize the conceptual potential of hand-made animation and the narrative potential of site-specific pieces.
During her residency in the Projectruimte she will be researching the concept of a house as a time container, relating it to her own itinerant upbringing. The theme of time also comes up in her project about the region of Liguria in Italy, and how ancestral investigations affect us today.
