The Open Atelier in the Pauluskerk is an experience in itself. We make art, It’s fun and there’s a lot of talking. There is creation in the midst of the hectic, stress and problems that many people in the Pauluskerk have.
Despite daily challenges in life, art in the Pauluskerk continues unabated. With a great deal of knowledge and wisdom, the makers reflect on subjects that play a role in their own lives or that of their fellow human beings. Abstract, figurative, poetic, narrative and always with a rich imagination. The topics are transience, desires, wonder, dream worlds, hard core reality, destruction, nature, current affairs, politics and the Bible. Often with a touch of humour. In word and image the most amazing things are created, perhaps for a piece of delightful happiness.
